Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CuratedPeople, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our service.

CuratedPeople is a curated connection platform — we facilitate introductions between people through admin-curated matching, not algorithmic swiping. These terms govern your use of this service.

Eligibility

To use CuratedPeople, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be currently located in or around Bangalore, Karnataka, India
• Be legally able to enter into a binding contract
• Not have been previously suspended or removed from the service
• Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

Account Registration

Google Sign-In

We use Google OAuth for authentication. You must have a valid Google account to register.

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

Your Username

Upon completing onboarding, you will be assigned a generated username. This username is permanent and cannot be changed, is how other users will identify you, and does not reveal your real name.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials. You are responsible for all activities under your account.

Verification

Basic Verification

All users must complete basic verification, which includes submitting your real first and last name, providing your date of birth, and uploading a selfie for identity confirmation.

Your selfie will be reviewed by our team to ensure authenticity. We may reject submissions that are unclear, manipulated, or do not match reasonable expectations of a genuine photo.

Optional Verification

You may optionally verify:

• A college email address (for college tier benefits)
• A government ID card
• Social media profiles

Verification Decisions

We reserve the right to approve or reject verification submissions at our discretion. Rejected users may resubmit with corrected materials.

The Matching Process

How It Works

CuratedPeople uses admin-curated matching. This means you answer questions about your preferences, values, and intentions; you join a queue when ready to be matched; our team reviews compatibility and manually creates matches; and you are introduced to one person at a time.

No Guarantees

We do not guarantee:

• That you will receive a match
• The timing of any match
• The quality or outcome of any connection
• That matches will respond or follow through

Match Credits

Your ability to receive matches may be limited based on your account tier and available credits.

User Conduct

You agree to:

• Treat all users with respect and dignity
• Provide truthful information about yourself
• Honor confirmed meeting commitments
• Report concerning behavior through proper channels
• Use the service only for its intended purpose

You agree NOT to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Misrepresent your identity, age, photos, or intentions
• Use the service for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation
• Share another user's personal information without consent
• Attempt to contact users outside the platform without mutual agreement
• Create multiple accounts
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts
• Circumvent any security or access controls
• Engage in any illegal activity

Meetings and Safety

In-Person Meetings

CuratedPeople facilitates introductions that may lead to in-person meetings. These meetings occur at your own risk.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Your safety during any meeting
• Verifying the identity of your match in person
• Making your own decisions about where and when to meet
• Informing someone you trust about your plans

Our Role

We are a platform for connection, not a guarantor of safety. While we verify users to the best of our ability, we cannot guarantee the conduct of any individual.

Recommended Practices

• Meet in public places
• Tell a friend or family member your plans
• Arrange your own transportation
• Trust your instincts

Blocking and Reporting

Blocking

You may block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot contact you or be matched with you again.

Reporting

You may report users who violate these terms or make you feel unsafe. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.

No Retaliation

We prohibit retaliation against users who report concerns in good faith.

Content Ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, text responses, messages). By submitting content, you grant CuratedPeople a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the service.

Platform Content

All platform content — including design, text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by CuratedPeople and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute platform content without permission.

Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

Subscriptions and Payments

Tiers

CuratedPeople may offer different account tiers (normal, premium, college) with varying features and limits.

Payments

If you purchase a premium subscription:

• Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Refunds are provided only as required by law or at our discretion

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Account deletion is permanent.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination include but are not limited to:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent or deceptive conduct
• Behavior that harms other users or the platform
• Extended inactivity

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the service ends immediately
• Your profile is removed from matching
• Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy

Disclaimers

"As Is" Service

CuratedPeople is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that results will meet your expectations, or that any matches will lead to meaningful connections.

No Professional Advice

We are not a dating agency, matchmaking service, or relationship counselor. We do not provide professional advice of any kind.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CuratedPeople and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Any damages arising from your use of the service
• Any conduct of other users, whether online or offline
• Any meetings or interactions that occur as a result of the service

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CuratedPeople and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, your violation of any rights of another person, or any content you submit.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@curatedpeople.com.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and sending an email notification for significant changes.

Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CuratedPeople regarding your use of the service.
